TURKISH PROFICIENCY EXAM (TUYES)

ERU TÖMER organizes “Turkish Proficiency Exam” (certification exam) for international students so that they can have the “ Turkish Proficiency Certificate” they need for registration to undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs.This exam is carried out for the international students who want to certificate their Turkish language level.

To test the A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 levels of language competence Stated in Common European Framework of References for Languages. Turkish proficiency exam is intended to test the four core language skills (reading-comprehension, writing, listening and speaking).

Exam duration is one hundred and fifty (150) minutes. (Reading-comprehension, writing and listening.) After these skills, a face to face “speaking” exam is carried out.

Applicants that took the exam are evaluated by their “Reading-comprehension, writing and listening” skills seperately and out of hundred (100) points. According to the average of the test scores of the four skills of the candidates, the document (certificate) appropriate to the language level in the score ranges determined in the table below is prepared and delivered to the person by ERU TÖMER within one week. The certificate must be personally received by the candidate.

Payment for registration and registration :

Candidates that wants to attend the exam must come to ERSEM (with candidate’s original passport/ residence permit card document and a copy is needed.) and pay the 1750 Turkish liras examination fee.

After the exam fee is deposited, you must complete your registration by "learning your exam date" from ERU TÖMER Secretariat with "PHOTOCOPY OF PASSPORT / RESIDENCY PERMIT CARD AND DECONT".

Things to do before the exam:

The exam will be held at 09.00 am in the Z-13 hall on the ground floor of ERSEM. Students are required to be at ERSEM at 08.40 at the latest.

What Candidates Should Have With Them During The Examination:

Original passport/residence permit card

Receipt of payment of the exam fee

Black pencil, eraser, sharpener (It is not allowed to share items such as pencils, erasers, etc. during the exam)

To Attention of Candidates:

Candidates are obliged to obey all the rules of Erciyes University.

Candidates are assumed to have accepted all general and special conditions of the exam they have registered for.

In case of behaviors that will disrupt the exam order, disrupt the exam and if the exam fee is not paid, the candidate is dismissed from the exam and the qualification certificate is not given.

The candidate who does not come to the exam for any reason after the exam has started will not be refunded the fee he/she has paid. However, if the candidate who cannot take the exam due to force major notifies the ERU TÖMER Secretariat at least one day before the exam day and documents his/her excuse, he/she will be taken to the exam on a later date.

Candidates who arrive after 09.15 are definitely not allowed into the exam hall.

If the exam is not held by ERU TÖMER due to force major, the exam fee will be refunded.

Submission of Turkish Proficiency Certificate:

* The results of the Turkish proficiency exam are sent to the candidates' cell phones or e-mails.

* For students who are successful in the Turkish proficiency exam, a Turkish proficiency certificate appropriate to the language level they have succeeded in is prepared and delivered to the person by ERU TÖMER within a week.

* The certificate must be taken personally by the student who took the exam.

* For students who are successful in the Turkish proficiency exam at levels A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1, the Turkish proficiency certificate is prepared within one (1) week at the latest. No application is required for this. Certificates can be received from ERSEM Public Relations Office.

* ERU TÖMER Turkish proficiency certificate is recognized by YÖK and Erciyes University affiliated universities.
