The state road coming from Ankara in the northwest and the roads coming from Adana and Niğde in the south converge at Boğazköprü, 15 km. northwest of Kayseri city center. The road heading east from here splits into two at the city's exit, with one road connecting to the Samsun-Sivas axis and the other to the Malatya axis.
