Newly registered students start at A1 level. If the students state or document that their Turkish level is advanced, a "LEVEL DETERMINATION EXAM" is held first and they are placed in the class appropriate to their language level according to the scores they got in this exam. The placement exam is held face-to-face at TÖMER for eight hundred and fifty Turkish liras (850 TL).
The level determination test fee is valid until 31.07.2024.
In our courses, books suitable for the level of our students are used and the teaching process is supported by additional materials and audio-visual elements prepared by experienced lecturers who are experts in their fields. Since 2011, Erciyes University TÖMER has been teaching Turkish to international students. In addition to the courses, cultural, artistic , sports activities and trips ; reading, writing and speaking clubs are organized to introduce the Turkish culture.
Turkish courses are offered to all foreign trainees who are in Turkey with visas/permits such as study visas, tourist visas, residence permits, work permits, etc.
If there is a demand by the trainees and there is a sufficient number of trainees, courses for different levels are opened many times during the year.
Our classes have twenty (20) and twenty-four (24) seats. They have all technological equipment.
Certificate of Acceptance (Invitation Letter):
Trainees who wish to obtain a study visa voluntarily can obtain a "language study visa" by applying to the Turkish Embassies in their countries after obtaining a CERTIFICATE OF ACCEPTANCE (INVITATION LETTER) from Erciyes University Continual Education Center (ERSEM) for a fee. The fee for the acceptance certificate (invitation letter) is two thousand five hundred Turkish Liras (2.500,00 TL). This fee will be deducted from the course fee during registration.
Documents Required for Registration:
1. One passport photocopy (Original passport must be brought during registration)
2. Photocopy of visa
3. Receipt of payment of the course fee
4. One passport size photograph
5. Registration Form (to be obtained from ERU TÖMER Secretariat)
Payment of Course Fee for Registration:
1. The course fee is five thousand Turkish liras (6.000,00 TL) per level. The total (A1+A2+B1+B2+C1) is twenty-five thousand Turkish liras (25.000,00 TL). Textbooks are included in the course fee. No photocopying fee is charged separately from the course fee for additional materials used in the classroom.
2. Trainees who wish can pay the full course fee in advance, trainees who wish can pay the fee of a course they want to continue. Trainees who do not pay the course fee can not continue the other course.
3. Trainees who want to attend the course should come to ERSEM and pay the course fee to the cashier unit on the ground floor.
ERU TOMER Face-to-Face Education Course System and Fees
Courtship fees are valid until 31.12.2024.
*There are 6 lessons in one day and the duration of one lesson is 45 minutes.
* Classes are from 09.00 am to 04.00 pm.
*Breaks are ten minutes.
* Classes are 5 days a week.
For Attention of Trainees:
1. Trainees are obliged to follow all the rules of Erciyes University.
2. Trainees are deemed to have accepted all general and special conditions of the course program they have registered for.
3. In case of behaviors that will disrupt the course order, disrupt the training and failure to pay the course fee, the trainee will be dismissed from the course and no qualification certificate will be issued.
4. The trainee who does not continue the course for any reason after the course starts will not be refunded the fee paid. However, if the course cannot be opened by ERU TÖMER due to force major, the course fee will be refunded.
5. ERU TÖMER Directorate may change the days and hours of the course program when necessary. Changes are notified to the trainees at least one day in advance via e-mail/text message (sms)/on Whatsapp by the classroom teacher.
6. If requested by the trainee, trainees who complete their ERU TÖMER registration are given a certified student certificate. The validity period of the student certificate is until the date of the C1 course skipping exam. However, if the student does not continue the courses, Kayseri Provincial Directorate of Migration Management will be informed after each course skipping exam.
7. Do not register for a course that is not suitable for your level. If you do not know your level, please contact ERU TÖMER officials.
8. You can visit our website frequently to get information about the course programs and send an e-mail to erutomer@erciyes.edu.tr to get information about the course start and end dates. In this case, an announcement e-mail will be sent to you or you will be contacted via your mobile phone when the course schedule is determined.
9. It is possible to join a course that has already begun, but this is decided by the instructor of the class and the past topics are in students’ obligation. Students who start the course late must also pay the full course fee.
10. Students may be absent from a course for 30 class hours per course without excuse. Students who exceed 30 unexcused hours will not be given the right to skip the course exam. Scholarship students may be absent up to ten percent (10%) of the total course hours in a course. Those who are absent more than this are reported to Kayseri Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
Course Skipping Exams:
* An exam is held at the end of each course, which includes the four basic language skills (reading comprehension, writing, listening and speaking) and the ancillary skills (grammar) that support these skills.
* The successful trainee has the right to move on to the next course. Those who are not successful have to repeat the same course in order to move to the next level.
* A quiz and a mock exam are prepared and administered by the classroom teacher before each course skipping exam. One week after the mock exam, a skipping exam is held.
* No excuse or make-up exam is given to any student except those who submit a medical report.
ERU TÖMER Fully Face-to-Face Education Course Skipping Examination System
Submission of Turkish Proficiency Certificate:
* For the trainees who are successful in the course skipping exam, the Turkish proficiency certificate appropriate to the language level they have succeeded in is prepared and delivered to the person by ERU TÖMER within one week.
* The certificate must be personally received by the trainee attending the course.
* The trainees who are successful in the A1, A2, B1 and B2 skipping exams must apply to the ERU TÖMER Secretariat to obtain a Turkish proficiency certificate. Otherwise, their certificates will not be prepared.
* The Turkish proficiency certificate of the trainees who are successful in the C1 level course skipping exam is prepared within one (1) week at the latest. No application is required for this.
* ERU TÖMER Turkish proficiency certificate is recognized by YÖK and Erciyes University affiliated universities.
